Last week’s launch of the luxury Q Sukhumvit project on prime land adjacent to the mass-transit network at BTS Nana in the heart of Bangkok is expected to push sales volumes for the developer Quality Houses by a further 20 percent before the end of the year.

Suwanna Bhuddhaprasart, Senior Executive Vice President of Quality Houses and Aliwassa Pathnadabutr, Managing Director of CBRE Thailand, hosted a press briefing to introduce the 42-storey Q Sukhumvit development under The Winter Blossom concept, reflecting the luxury element of the project according to a statement.

Suwanna said Q Sukhumvit is a luxury condominium project for the affluent. The target buyers will be divided into three groups – families who want to reside downtown, business owners and executives, and investors. She said that Q Sukhumvit has high investment potential, since it is a high-end project that offers more state-of-the-art facilities than other projects in the same range.

Location-wise, she added, this is a prime spot of Bangkok, and the land price in this area increases continuously every year.

“The affluent consumer’s purchasing power still continues, and there is nothing to worry about in this sector. There’s still a lot of demand, but the challenge is to create something that meets their real needs”

Q Sukhumvit will be a luxury condominium with 273 units spread throughout 42-storeys. Functional space ranges from 92 sqm up to 296 sq m, and unit types will be from two- to four-bedrooms, – with a 350 sqm penthouse.

CBRE’s Aliwassa Pathnadabutr said that as Q Sukhumvit’s agent, that she is confident that the high-end market still has a lot of demand for luxury residences in prime business locations.

In the past two years many luxury condominium projects have popped up along the BTS line and in business districts. They have been well-received by the high-end market, and they were able to close sales quickly thanks to the locations and the quality of the product. With those two keywords, consumers do not hesitate to buy. She added that at present there are not many luxury condominium projects in the heart of the city like Q Sukhumvit.
